Anyway. Today I'm going to review a trilogy I read a while ago and loved. They are retellings of fairy-tales, mostly the Twelve Dancing Princess, but the second book
Here's a short summary of the first book:
Galen is a young soldier returning from war; Rose is one of twelve princesses condemned to dance each night for the King Under Stone. Together Galen and Rose will search for a way to break the curse that forces the princesses to dance at the midnight balls. All they need is one invisibility cloak, a black wool chain knit with enchanted silver needles, and that most critical ingredient of all—true love—to conquer their foes in the dark halls below. But malevolent forces are working against them above ground as well, and as cruel as the King Under Stone has seemed, his wrath is mere irritation compared to the evil that awaits Galen and Rose in the brighter world above.
Alright, I admit it. I love practically all fairytale retellings. But this one is an exceptionally good retelling! Plus, one of my favorite fairy tales of all time is the Twelve Dancing Princess. Then comes Little Red Riding Hood and the Snow Queen, but that's not related.
I love the story and the characters. I say that an awful lot, don't I? Oh well. The princesses are great; my favorite is probably Poppy, because she's just so . . . awesome. The princes are also amazing, and I have squishes on all of them. And I love all the other characters and the way they fit into the story.
And they have pretty covers. Really pretty. Look at those gowns. I want one. Especially Poppy's (Princess of Glass).
I found them because I didn't have a book and my sister had the first one on her kindle, so I read it. And got the next one. And then had to wait almost a year for the last one. And goodness, it was worth it!
Anyhow, they're good, they're funny, they're amazing, so you should read them.

"And you've got a nose like a stoat," Petunia replied. "But at least I can have my gowns altered." - The Princess of the Silver Woods.
