Book Review: Everblaze

Yes, I know, I just got back. But I'm doing a book review right away. It is calling to me to be written about. The book I'm reviewing is Everblaze, by Shannon Messenger. It's the third book in the Keeper of Lost Cities series, which means anything I say about will be spoiler-y. Therefore, do not read this post if you have not read the first two books, Keeper of Lost Cities and Exile. 

First of all, as is my custom, a summary:

Sophie Foster is ready to fight back.
Her talents are getting stronger, and with the elusive Black Swan group ignoring her calls for help, she’s determined to find her kidnappers—before they come after her again.

Sounds awesome, right?

Well, it certainly was. In fact, I do believe this was my favorite book in the series, something I started reading early last January after receiving for Christmas due to a strong recommendation by Lauchlan, over at My Secret Garden. The first book, Keeper of Lost Cities, comes a close second, but I just loved the intensity and vivid language of Everblaze. It was action packed and breathless and I cried. My mother cried when she read it and I have never seen her cry at a book before. 
The character bonds in this books were awesome. I loved how, after the disasters in Exile, the team was really knitting itself back together. Keefe and Sophie had a fair share of time running around together being silly and sibling-ish, which I love because it's so freaking adorable. And Fitz got time to bond with Sophie too and show her that he really didn't mean all the terrible stuff he did in Exile and show her his caring, fun side. Biana and Sophie are becoming closer friends no i'm totally not shipping them what are you talking about. Ahem. Anyway.
Dex's postion really breaks my heart because he's my little sweetiepie and I don't want him to be sad or angry or upset or anything. But I was a feeling his story isn't going to end well. There's lots of possibility for him turning traitor or .  . . or dying. Although I don't want to think about that.
And oh my gosh, the ending! I can't wait for the next book and what it holds in store.
